Born in Bishopville, he was a son of William Gordon Sr. and Mrs. Ethel McLeod Parrott. He was a Clemson University graduate and a retired electrical engineer with Santee-Cooper. He was a Word War II Army Air Corps veteran retired from the Air Force, and was member of the Summerville Lions Club, the Sons of the American Revolution and Summerville Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Florence Percival Laird Parrott; a son, William G. Parrott III of Aiken, a stepson, Arthur L. Slade of Moylan, Pa.; and stepdaughter, Mrs. Sara S. Whitmire of Greenville.
Services will be held at Summerville Presbyterian Church Cemetery of Bishopville.
