Mary Lou was the daughter of Mattie B. Radford and Jake Johnson. She was educated in the Houston County School System. She was retired from the Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia. She was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Henderson, Georgia. She was a past member of Cinderella Chapter 406 of Warner Robins. In 1985, she joined Eva Chapter 735, member of Electa Grand Chapter, Modern Free and Accepted Masons of the World, Inc.

She was married to Andrew Adkison Sr who preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter; Clifford Adkison, 1 grandson; Leroy Alford, 1 great granddaughter; Monica Adkison, 2 sisters; Johnnie Mae Williams and Mattie Wooten, 3 brothers; Ishmon Johnson, Eddie James Johnson and Jake Johnson.


Survivors:
5 Daughters: Gwendolyn Cheatham(Van), Annie Alford, Mattie Lester(Joseph), Ruby Dennis and Shirley Jackson.
3 Sons: Ira Alford, Joseph Adkison and Andrew Adkison Jr(Evelyn).
32 Grandchildren: Frankie Catherine, Angie, Anthony, Lillian, John, Michael, Valerie, Keith, Anthony, Forest, Julaine, LaToya, Angela, Andrew, Derrick, Antario, Varonica, David, Villi, Jonny, William, Sylvia, Stephanie, Crystal, Varncheria, Larzarnia, Eric, Kia, Jared, Jeremiah, Kinyette and Marquesa.
64 Great Grandchildren, 26 Great Great Grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday, April 21,2012 at 12noon in the Sanctuary of Shiloh Baptist Church in Henderson, Georgia with Rev John L. Wilburn officiating.
