Randall Duane "Randy" Parker, 57, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012, at Deaconess Hospital.
He had worked as a union steamfitter, with the Plumber's and Steamfitter's Local 136, for over 30 years, before his retirement in 2009. Randy was a very proud and loving grandfather. He enjoyed helping others, and always put their needs ahead of his own, and also enjoyed Men's Fellowship on Tuesday nights. Randy was a Scout Leader with the Boy Scouts. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and Hadi Shrine, and bowled in the Hadi Bowling League. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving Randy are his wife of 39 years, Sandy (Slaton) Parker; sons, Justin (Megan) Parker and Dean Parker; mother, Martine Parker; sister, Donna (John) Baumeyer, all of Evansville; brother, Larry (Norma) Parker, of Wadesville; and a grandson, Harrison Parker. Also surviving, are many nieces, nephews and friends.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Marion A. Parker, and by a granddaughter, Quinn Parker.
Services 10 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Stree. Rev. Gene Backes officiating. Burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
