Jack Begley
held Saturday
Services were at 11:30 am Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church for Jack J. Begley, 61, Howells, formerly of Lincoln. Rev. Paul Begley and Rev. Wayne Schlautman were co-celebrants.
Visitation was held until service time Saturday at the Humlicek Funeral Home. Rosaries were recited on Friday.
Born July 5, 1921, the son of Joseph and Mae LaChapelle Begley, he died Thursday, April 28th, at the Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha after complications following surgery.
A graduate of Creighton University, he received his Master's degree in business administration from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Begley was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. On April 19, 1947, he and Virginia Konsel were married at Howells.
Now retired, Mr. Begley had been president of the Colson Corporation; vice-president of manufacturing for Budd Automotive of Canada; vice-president and general manager of Mc Kee Brothers in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada and Lincoln; and chairman of the board for General Electro Dynamics of Mansfield, Texas.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Kevin of Arlington, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Frank (Bridget) Disney of University City, Mo.; one grandchild, Jennifer Disney, and one brother, Dr. B. J. Begley of Denver. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers were Duane Barb, Joe Brown, John Begley, Joe Morris, Doug Wragge and Lowell F. Wragge. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
