David Charles (Butch) Aker

David Charles (Butch) Aker, 69, of Maryville, passed away Sunday afternoon at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a veteran in the U.S. Air Force, a firm believer, and an active member in the Empty Pantry Fund every year. He was a member of Keeble's Chapel Baptist Church, and an auxiliary volunteer in the Loudon Police Department. He is survived by his wife, Judy Aker; daughters, Tina and Mike Baker of Greenback, and Brandee Lawrence of Mesquite, Texas; stepchildren (In Love), Roger and Karen Gribble, and Shawn and Jennie Presley, all of Maryville; grandchildren, Kaleub and Jordan Baker, Arianna McCoulic, Autumn and Devan Presley, Brooklyn, Jack, and Carina Gribble, Trent and Kara Gresham, and Ryan Davis; brotherk, Mike Aker of Florence, Ky., and John and Terry Brown of Virginia Beach, Va.; and special friends, Jim Sutton, Georgie Lethco, Terry Cummings, Richard Raider, Betty and Bobbie Garner, and Penny and Mike Dopkins. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday April 4, 2012, in the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Martin officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012, at the Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for a graveside service with military honors.
