Died Thurs., Feb. 19 in San Marino after a short illness. Harry was born May 3, 1915 in Bay City, MI. He received his BA in Accounting from Loyola U. in 1937, his law degree from Loyola in 1940 and an honorary Doctor of Laws from Gonzaga U. in Spokane, WA in 2001. Harry served in WWII from 1942-45 in the Pacific as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy. He practiced law in East L.A. for over 60 years from the same office on S. Ford Blvd., and continued to make court appearances on behalf of his clients until mid February 2004. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Harriet Leppek; daughters Kathryn McKown of Newport Beach; Donna Westgate of Manhattan Beach and Denise (Neice) Schafer of Spokane, WA; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Harry was preceded in death by brothers Edward Leppek, Adolph Leppek and sister Romay Ater. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made to: National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Southern California Chapter, P.O. Box 512098, L.A. CA 90051-0098. The viewing will be held Wed. Feb. 25 from 2-5 pm at Cabot & Sons, 27 Chestnut St. Pasadena. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Thurs. Feb. 26th at St. Therese Catholic Church, 501 N. El Molino St., Alhambra. The burial will be Fri., Feb. 27th at 10 am at Calvary Cemetery.
