The remains of Jesse B. Whittaker, 40, will lie in state at Mills and Mills' Chapel until this Wednesday evening when they will be sent to Spokane for burial. Whittaker died in Mountain View Sanatorium Monday morning.

He had made his home with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Madden, South Bay, for several years. He was manager of a Fort Lewis retail store for the last two years.

Surviving besides his aunt, Mrs. Madden, is a brother, Dawson Whittaker, Opportunity; and a sister, Mrs. Ollie Hughes, Spokane.
