Died ca 1897 of cancer during an outbreak of yellow fever. There were two outbreaks about this time, one 1893 the other 1903. His children had to go all the way around town (Utica) to visit and tend to him as they were not allowed to go through town because of the fever. He has no headstone. Son of William Bryant and Nancy Herrington/Harrington Barlow, grandson of John & Lydia Barlow. We have not found any of their graves.

He was intending to name all his children after states but after the fourth he changed his mind.

After the death of Mary Jane he married Jane Austin and after his death she married Mr. Bankston.
