Liz, a resident of Hayward and SF Bay for the past 20 years was born in Long Beach and passed away after a brief illness on March 2nd. She attended Holy Family elementary school and Mater Dei High School class of 1978. A member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, she graduated from CSU Fullerton and later earned her MBA from Notre Dame de Namur University, Belmont, CA. She worked in retail for Macys and Mervyns and later became a coporate financial analyst for Kaiser Permanente Hospital. After a courageous battle with lung cancer, she is survived by the love of her life and fiance, Keith Schafer, who was at her beside when she died. She also is survived by 5 brothers, two sisters and nieces and nephews.
