Elmo F. Douglas was born October 30, 1902 in Georgia. He married Doris Fae Morgan Douglas, and they had one child, Doris Betty Douglas Neely. He was a fire chief in Savannah, Chatham County, Georiga. Elmo died on May 12, 1957, at age 54, in Savannah. He is buried beside his wife in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Savannah.
