A wake was held Friday, Jan. 15, at Marek-Bur ns-Lay well Funeral Home.
Bro. Williams died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010 in a Cameron hospital.
He was born in Davilla to Booker T and Ella B. Hill Williams.
Bro. Williams was minister of North Orchard Street Church of Christ. He was baptized into the Church of Christ in 1967.
Bro. Williams served in the U.S. Army.
He was on the Cameron School Board from 1981 until 1984, was a member of the Concerned Parents Organization of Cameron, and was recognized by the Texas Senate for his community involvement.
Bro. Williams retired from Alcoa as a material specialist after more than 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Bonnie and Jessie, and a sister, Ernestine.
Survivors include a son, five daughters, and six sisters, also, eight grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.
