Funeral services were held Wed Jan 2, 2002 at the Industry Fireman's Hall. Burial was in the New Ulm Cemetery.
Ackley was currently the owner, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Industry Telephone Company and Industry I-Net and founder and chairman of the ECS Corporation (Eliminate Children Smoking Corporation).
Survivors include his wife, Mary; two sons, Mark Ackley and wife Michelle of Bellville and Larry Ackley of Austin; daughters, Robin Marek and husband Harold and Sheila Raeke and husband Curt both of New Ulm; mother, Thelma Ackley of New Ulm; sister, Doris Ann Barton of Bay City; mother-in-law, Clementine Barton of Katy; grandchildren, Nicholas, Allison and Christopher Ackley, Mason and Cameron Marek and Reese, Anthony and Braden Raeke; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford S. Ackley.
