Musician. Born Edward Lewis Davis Milton, he was a guitarist, singer-songwriter Chicago bluesman, noted for his gospel-tinged voice and an aggressive guitar sound. His mother was a gospel singer and learning to play guitar from his father, he gained a reputation as a guitar player in local clubs. In 1954, he moved to Illinois, becoming part of the Chicago south and west side sound, and was inspired by B.B. King, being nicked named 'Little Eddie King'. In the late 1950s, he was performing along side with artist Buddy Guy and Freddie King, when he cut several records with Sonny Boy Williamson in 1960. That same year, he also released two solo singles "Shakin' Inside" and "Love You Baby" on the J.O.B. Records label. While fronting his own group Eddie King and the Kingsmen in 1969, another important period came in his career when offered the job as lead guitarist for blues singer Koko Taylor band and he spent the next 20 years performing with her. For the Black Magic label he released the solo album "The Blues Has Got Me" (1987), followed by "Double Trouble", which featured his sister Mae Bee May, on vocals. In 1997, he released "Another Cows Dead" for which he received the Blues Music Award for Best Comeback Blues Album.
