Samuel P. Herbert and Julia Burroughs Herbert.
She was the wife of the late Elbert Vernon Dyson Sr. They had [ 6 sons] , Elbert V. Jr., William H., John P., Richard F., Kenneth L., and James D.
She was the first female postmistress in Charles County, serving at the
Hughesville post office from 1915 to 1920. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a life member at the Old Field Episcopal Church.
