Mrs. John Caskey

Arcadia, April 15.--Funeral services were conducted at the Arcadia Baptist church Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock by Rev. W. Y. Strain, pastor of the Simsboro Baptist church, for Mrs. John Caskey, who was known to her numerous friends as "Aunt Mary Caskey," who died at the home of one of her sons near Bienville at the age of 83 years. Her husband has been dead more than 30 years. She is survived by eight children, 67 grandchildren and 108 great-grandchildren.

"Grandma" Caskey, mother of Mr. John Caskey, died at his home here last Saturday evening after a long and painful illness, which she bore with great strength and fortitude. She was buried by the side of her husband in the Arcadia cemetery Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. W. T. Strain conducting the funeral services. A large number of relatives and friends accompanied the remains there. To the bereaved loved ones we extend sincerest sympathy.
