MRS. GEORGE E. ACKLAND
STEWAD - Mrs. George Earl (Margaret) Ackland, 53, rural Steward, died early this morning in the Americana Nursing Home, Rochelle.
She was born Dec 19, 1910, in Reynolds Township, Lee County, the daughter of Irvin and Lena Miller Strawbridge. She married George E. Ackland Oct 26, 1933, in Dixon.
She was a member of the Steward Methodist Church and Rochelle chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband; a son, George Robert Steward; three daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Donna) Coss and Mrs. Duane (Linda) Stein, both of Rochelle, and Debra at home; a brother, Harland, Steward; a sister, Mrs. Stanley (Maureen) Etheridge, Steward; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Unger Funeral Home, Rochelle. Burial will be in Lawnridge Cemetery.
Friends may call in the Unger Funeral Home 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
