Jean Gordon Mooney, 84, of Greensboro, N.C., formerly of Greenock, died Thursday, March 8, 2012. She was born Dec. 30, 1927, in McKeesport, and the daughter of the late Eber Regester Ferguson and the late Ruby Jean Palmer Ferguson. She was the wife of the late Wade Richard Mooney, who died May 20, 2002. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of McKeesport and the choir, and was also a member of the former Greenock Women's Club. Jean was a Rainbow Girl Worthy Advisor in her senior year at McKeesport High School. She had worked for G.C. Murphy Co. home office, McKeesport School District and her late husband's business, the former J.P. Mooney Co. in McKeesport and White Oak. She was preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Eber Ferguson; and grandson, John Patrick Mooney.
