Roy E. Alexander, 84, of Plymouth, died at 9:50 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 5, 1982) in the McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

Mr. Alexander was born July 7, 1898 in La Prairie, a son of George and Pearl (Young) Alexander. He married Olive Loy on Aug. 9, 1924 in Quincy. She survives.

He was a retired sales manager of the former Dennis Chicken Products in Augusta. He was a graduate of Bowen High School, attended Carthage College and was a veteran of WW I. He was a member of the Plymouth Assembly of God Church.

Surviving are his wife, Olive; a son, Larry of Macomb; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Bonnie) Roder of Oak Park; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Keith.

Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 7th at 1 p.m. in the Plymouth Assembly of God Church conducted by the Rev. Jeff Nelson. Connie Corder was organist and vocalist. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Augusta. Pallbearers were: Martin Beck, Wayne Yetter, Don Switzer, Bob Hayes, Harold Daniels, and Eldon Akers. Memorials were made to the Plymouth Assembly of God Church. Hamilton Funeral Home in Plymouth was in charge of arrangements.
