Daisy was born on May 25, 1917 in Graves County. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Rasar of Johnson, TN; a nephew, Charles Mevin; a granddaughter, Pam Hyder and husband Frank of Johnson City; and three great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Boyd; a brother, John Taylor Melvin; two sisters, Lillie Stephenson and Mary Elna Murdoch; and her parents, Billy and Nancey Melvin.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Highland Park Cemetery in Mayfield with Bro. Kerry Lambert officiating
