Arbutus Romaine Burke, 79, of Browntown, Virginia, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Lynn Care Center.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. at Toms Brook Cemetery conducted by Rev. Dr. C. Wayne Woodard. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal.
Ms. Burke was born March 8, 1933 in Perry, West Virginia, daughter of the late Layco and Daisy Heishman Donovan.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth H. Burke of Fairhope, AL, Gary Burke of Browntown, and Vincent R. Burke, Jr. of Front Royal; one daughter, Bunny Cain of Sanford, FL; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Vincent R. Burke, Sr.; and a sister, Violet Baker.
Pallbearers will be Richard Burke, Daniel Burke, Jeremy Day, Claude Reel, David Airhart and Dennis Airhart.
Arrangements are by Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal, VA.
