Marian Rose Balzer Balough, 98, of Sykesville, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.

Born Oct. 17, 1913, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Catherine Inglehart Balzer. She was the wife of the late John E. Balough.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Howard Park Garden Club and raised prize-winning roses. She was a member of the Senior Club of Randallstown.

Surviving are daughter Patricia Ann Davis and husband Brooks, of Sykesville; grandchildren Bill P. Davis, and Thomas J. Davis and wife Jody; and great-grandsons Brett N. Davis and Jake M. Stepp.

She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy M. Balzer; and a grandson, Bruce A. Miller.
