Alpha Boren Anderson, 62, died at 10:35 PM Friday [Nov. 12, 1982] in St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she had been a patient for one day, and in ill-health since April. Born at Paragould, AR, she was reared in Lafayette. She married Thomas J. Anderson on April 24, 1940; he is a retired pressman from Alcoa. Mrs. Anderson was a member of First Church of God, and North Park Economics Club.
Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Niswonger; two sons, Michael T. Anderson and Philip Lee Anderson, all of Lafayette; two sisters, Mildred (Mrs. J.I.) Perry of Cincinnati, OH, and Opal (Mrs. William J.) Lamb of Lafayette; three brothers, Gene Boren of Alton, MO, Armstad Boren and Leonard Boren, both of Urbana, IL; and five grandchildren.
