MILLARD MARIDA COOK, 68, RESIDENT HERE 20 YEARS
After 20 years residence in Yamhill county, Millard Marida Cook died February 26
at the age of 67 years and eight months. He was born near Bluff City in
Tennessee, June 19, 1860, and moved with his wife, Mrs. Millie Cook, to
McMinnville in 1909.
He is survived by one brother, Thomas Cook, who lives in the east, and his
widow.
The funeral was held from Macy's, Sunday, and burial made in the Masonic
cemetery. Music was furnished by the Water and Light quartet. Old friends acted
as pall bearers and included Henry Hyder, Chester Simmerly, Bert Perkins, Ray
Clevenger, Marion Buchfield, and Samuel Price. Rev. Lon Chamlee officiated.
