Abraham W. Glover, 73 of Aurora, passed away on July 25, 2000 at Provena-Mercy Center Hospital in Aurora.
    He was born on October 3, 1926 in Newark, MO. Abraham was a lifetime resident of the Fox Valley area. During World War II, he was a member of the CeeBee's and was retired from All-Steel where he worked as an Upholsterer. He was also very active in the community, lending his time to be an officer for Boy Scout Troop #29, a member of the Tiger Club, and a Sports Booster for East Aurora High School.
    He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Verna Glover; four brothers, Joseph Wayne, George William, Darrell Eugene and Louis Ray Glover. Also preceding him in death are his two grandsons, Richard Glover and Scott Glover.
    Survivors include his loving wife, Betty Guddendorf Glover; three sons, Thomas (Sue) Glover, Richard (Dawn) Glover, Anthony (Carol) Glover; a daughter, Judie (Loren) Williams; eight grandsons, Abraham (Roxann), Michael, Robert, Richard, William, Anthony Jr. (Kelly), Shea and Evan. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Julie and Callie; five great-grandsons, Dillon, Croley, Jacob and Sean Glover, Brandon and Alexander Dexter; two great-granddaughters, Emily and Kayley Glover; a brother, James (Frances) Glover; three sisters, Nola Vlasz, Nettie (Bill) McClernon and Lotus (Marlin) Spidle. Abraham also leaves behind many other nieces and nephews.
    Visitation will be Thursday, July 27, 2000 where the family will receive friends and family from 4-8 PM at the Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery, IL. Services will be at Dieterle Memorial Home on Friday, July 28, 2000 at 10 AM. Pastor Dave Huffman will officiate. 630-897-1196. www.dieterlememorialhome.com.
