Our loving father, grandfather, and friend passed away on February 25, 2012 in Salt Lake City at the age of seventy-six.

Gordon was born August 4, 1935 to Roscoe and Gladys Bell. He married his best friend and Christian soulmate, Connie Scheid, on December 11, 1960.

Gordon retired from Union Pacific Railroad in 1997. He served as a Boy Scout Merit Badge Counselor for thirty-five years, as President of his congregation and led the choir. He loved to sing, take care of his wife and children, and serve God in all he did. He was also extremely fond of hot dogs.

Gordon is survived by his son, Kenneth (Chris) Bell; daughter, Cindy Bell; grandsons, Kennan and Caden; brothers, Paul (Janet) Bell and Earnest Bell; and sister, Winifred (Charles) Payne. Preceded in death by his wife Connie and his parents.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in the Grace Lutheran Church, 1815 East 9800 South, Sandy.
Services entrusted to Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary.
