Sallie Mathis Beheeler, age 85, of 3711 Poors Ford Road in Rutherfordton died Monday, February 20, 2012, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Polk County and was the daughter of the late Lum and Anna Roddy Mathis. Sallie was retired from Deb Manufacturing Plant and was a homemaker. She loved gardening, canning and winding yarn. She was a member of Fellowship Holiness Church in Spindale. Sallie was the widow of William Beheeler and was preceded in death by brothers Ralph and Sherrill "Jack" Mathis and sisters Virginia Thornton and Mary McEntire. She is survived by

One Daughter:
Ann Norman and husband Donald of Rutherfordton

Two Sisters:
Janie Price of Pea Ridge in Mill Spring,
Rebecca Reese of Jacksonville, FL
Three Step Grandchildren and seven Step Great Grandchildren
A number of Nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 22, 2012. at McMahans Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be at Fellowship Holiness Church in Spindale at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 23, 2012 with the Revs. Leon Brown , Roger Hudgins and Bill Alley officiating. Interment will be at Green River Baptist Church Cemetery in Polk County.
