Romaine Oliver Holcom, 89, of Salina, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012. He was born Feb. 12, 1923, in Gypsum to Glen and Hannah (Hesher) Holcom. He worked as a farm implement salesman and retired from Marshall Motors Company. He was a member of the VFW and University United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Holcom; brother, Dwain Holcom; and a great-granddaughter, Ashlie Marie Caldwell.
Romaine is survived by his daughter, Linda Pitts, of Salina; son, Larry Holcom, of Junction City; brother, Leroy; and sister, Clena Green, both of Salina; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be noon-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 North Eighth St., Salina. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. The family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, and may be sent to or left at the mortuary.
