Rosemary Blount, 57, formerly of Peoria Heights, passed away at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at El Paso Health Care Center in El Paso.

She was born May 9, 1954, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Edgar Patterson and Mary Francis (Wells) Blount.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sisters, Christy Thurber and Molly Robuck, both of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; one brother, Jeff Blount of Oklahoma City, Okla.; longtime companion, Mark Green of Peoria Heights; and her cat, JennyAnyDots.

She was a self-taught artist, creating more than 50 works of art using a very unique multi-media style. She had several displays of her paintings in San Diego, Calif., where she lived for many years.

Rosemary was an animal lover and had many wonderful cats throughout her lifetime. She was also a nature lover and enjoyed the color displays of the fall season. She also liked rainstorms.

Her memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, where visitation will be one hour before the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Foster Pet Outreach in Peoria, Ill.
