Evans S. Atkins, 86, Nashville, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at home.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Tom Agnew officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Forest Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survived by wife of 54 years, Agnes Atkins; daughters, Terry Lynn Atkins Owen and Deborah (Steve) Ervin; sister, Cleo White of Clarksville; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
