Amzie Lee Harmon died December 10th , 2011. He was 78 years of age.

Amzie grew up in Kosciusko Mississippi raised by his mother Gertrude Stevenson Smith and Grandmother Bessie Clark. His Father's name was L.J. Harmon.

He was a hard working young man working as a professional truck and tow motor driver.

Amzie was the beloved brother of Jesse James Harmon, K.C. and Marianne Harmon. He is the uncle of Abdullah King and Wanetta King.

Amzie left Kosciusko Mississippi around 1951 and lived in Milwaukee where his daughter, Freddie Williams Adams was born. Freddie has two sons, Santan Williams and Vincent Williams, and Amzie's two great grandchildren are Karson Williams and Kendrell Williams.

Amzie decided to reside here in Cleveland, living with his Aunt Louella. After settling here he met a young lady named Doris Clay, whom he married and they had four children, Diane Robinson, Michael Harmon, Annette Harmon and James Harmon. Annette's daughter's name is Derria Harmon Mitchell.

Amzie later married his second wife, Helen Harmon, who died in 2008. They lived in Garfield Heights.

Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday, December 17th at Brown-Forward, 17022 Chagrin Blvd., Shaker Hts., OH WHERE FRIENDS MAY CALL ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THE SERVICE. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery.
