She was retired from Burns High School Food Services and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by husband, Boyd Cline Beam, parents, Julius Washington Brackett, and Laura Maude Thompson Brackett, son, Dwight Beam, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors include son, Jim Beam of Lawndale, daughter, Janice Conner of Charlotte, sisters, Alice Harmon of Spindale, Jewel English of Mechanicsville, VA; grandchildren, Kathy Mosteller of Belwood, Melinda Lattimore of Lawndale, Jeannie Reynolds of Belwood, Kenny Conner of Indian Trail and Rev. Dennis Conner of Charlotte; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral is 3 p.m. Sunday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is 1:30-2:45 p.m. Sunday at Stamey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
