Jewel S. Andrews, 78, of Tuscumbia, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003. The graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Officiating at the funeral will be Brother Bill Enloe. She was a native of Colbert County. Survivors include her brothers, Milam C. Smallwood and wife, Mary H., of Tuscumbia, B. Ralph Smallwood and wife, Mary Q., of Tuscumbia; nephews, Bennie Smallwood, Pelham, Forest Smallwood, Tuscumbia; niece, Carolyn Hester, Muscle Shoals; and special friend, W.O. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pride Andrews; and parents, Ben and Maude Berry Smallwood. Pallbearers will include Bennie Smallwood, Forest Smallwood, Rodney Hester, Scott Terry, Don Andrews and Hershel Andrews.Honorary pallbearers will include Paul and Ann Joly, Ocel and Josephine Herring. She was a retired clerk of the Colbert County Commission and member of Colbert Heights Baptist Church. Colbert Memorial Chapel is directing.
