Christina Margaret Georgas Barnson left this mortal life on February 4. Our sister, mother, grandmother and great friend leaves to find rest with her dear husband Roger and son Barney. Christina "Tina" Georgas Barnson was born in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. She taught French, English and was a guidance counselor for Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, and later became a guidance counselor and a tutor at the University of Texas in Austin.
Family members surviving Tina are her daughter, Leigh Germann, Austin, TX, her two sisters Susie Green and Patti Calvino, and three brothers Peter Georgas, Richard Georgas and Ted Georgas, all of Phoenix, AZ and surrounding areas.
Surviving grandchildren are Eric and Lauren Gene Germann, Provo, UT; David in Toronto, Ontario, and Andrew Germann, Alison Germann and Lauren Germann of Austin, TX.
Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 12001 Bee Caves Rd. (FM 2244) in Austin, on Tuesday, Feb. 7th at 10:30 a.m. A viewing will precede the serve at 9:30 a.m. Graveside services will be held at Bunker Memory Gardens, Las Vegas, NV, on Saturday, Feb. 11th, at 11:30 a.m.
