Grover Lee Avant, 53, died Sunday at a Pine Bluff hospital.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.
Mr. Avant was born in Georgetown, a son of Mrs. S. W. Avant (Cynthia Cornelia Cribb Avant) and the late S. W. Avant (Steven Walker Avant). He was employed by the International Paper Co.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are the widow, Mrs. Ruby Johnson Avant; one daughter, Mrs. Paul Fletcher of Pine Bluff; three brothers, Remar Avant, Laverne Avant, and J. T. Avant, all of Georgetown; three sisters, Mrs. Ervin Elliott and Mrs. Frank Moore, both of Georgetown, and Mrs. James Williamson of Pine Bluff; and one grandchild
