Betty Lou (Ragland) Adams left to share her infectious laugh with everyone in Heaven on Jan. 27, 2012. A celebration of Betty's life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at Center Ridge Cemetery, Highway 380 east of Graham. Final arrangements are by McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home in Graham.
Born on April 19, 1929, in Graham to Raymond Lee and Mary Edna Ragland, Betty graduated from Graham High School, where she was a local beauty and Queen of Possum Kingdom Lake. Betty never met a stranger and would gladly give anything she had to those in need. A gifted seamstress and talented floral designer, everyone in her family and extended family had a handmade Advent calendar, Christmas stocking, crocheted afghan or shopping bag. Her famous potato salad and deviled eggs were the hits at any gathering.
We will miss her sparkling personality and jaunty fedoras.
Her family wishes to thank the staff at Odyssey Hospice House in Conroe for their loving care of Betty during the last days of her journey.
Betty's deepest dedication was to her daughter, Lana (Parks) Finley and son-in-law Terry of Montgomery; granddaughter Kimberly (Finley) Barnfield and husband Matthew; and her great-granddaughters Julia and Madeline Barnfield, all of Helotes. She is also survived by her brother, Frank Ragland of Wichita Falls.
