Mrs. Rosa Drake, 87, of Edwardsville, Ill., died in an Alton hospital Saturday afternoon, Sept. 26. Mrs. Drake was born in Pike county, May 26, 1872. She resided in Pleasant Hill until about 20 years ago. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. David Hoover. For the past several years she had made her home with a daughter at Edwardsville. Her husband, John Drake preceded her in death. Mrs. Drake was a member of the Christian Church. Surviving are a son, Reavis Drake of Jacksonville, Ill., and two daughters, Mrs. Leath Dennison of Phoenix, Arizona, and Mrs. Elizabeth Stader of Edwardsville. Funeral services were held in Ward funeral home in Pleasant Hill at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon. Burial was in Crescent Heights Cemetery.
