RALPH W. BANKS, 91, passed away Dec. 5, 2008, at Bentley Village, Naples Fla. Born May 21, 1917, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Hugh and Ida (Snyder) Banks. He married Dorothy Ream on April 9 1939. He retired-from Irmscher Inc. after 40 years as a field construction superintendent, in 1980. He moved to Florida after three years of retirement at lake George. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Bonita Springs, Fla. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Dorothy; son, Michael (Mary) Banks of Fort Wayne; daughter, Sharon Wible of Fort Wayne; and grandchildren, Scott Thiel, Holly Nix, Brian Banks, and Mason Banks. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Gladys Imler, Lonavene Rodgers and Marjorie Banks. A Memorial service was held on Dec. 10, 2008, in Naples Fla. Cremains to be committed at a later date in Pretty Prairie Cemetery in rural Howe.
