the late Thomas J. Paynter, died Saturday
night, May 20, 1944, at the
home of her daughter, Mrs. C. I. Arnold,
Odenton, Md. She formerly resided
in Westminster until a few
years ago. Her husband preceded
her in death in 1918. She was a
daughter of the late Alfred E. and
Ann Cook Elson and was aged 88
years.
Surviving are the following
children: Mrs. Arnold, Odenton; William,
Crestline, O.; Lewis, Bradford,
Pa.; Roger, Baltimore, and Delbert,
Nodaway, Mo.; also 17 grandchildren
and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted Tuesday
at 2 P. M. at the F. A. Sharrer funeial
home, Westminster, with the Rev.
William Harden, Baltimore, officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Gamber.
