Martha J. Florence, age 95, of Marietta, GA passed away December 9, 2011. Interment was at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.
A native of Bostwick, GA, Mrs. Florence moved to Marietta in 1951. She worked for the Veteran's Administration in Atlanta for over 30 years before retirement, and was a member of the United Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband William S. Florence, Sr.; her sister Nellie Peeples; her brother Tom Jackson; and her grandson Dale Bailey. Survivors include daughter Anne Sturdivant, Powder Springs, GA; son William Florence, Jr., Marietta, GA; grandchildren Christopher Bailey and wife Tina, Rev. Scott Bailey and wife Laura, and Shawn Jesse Bailey and wife Wendy; great grandchildren Savannah Bailey, Andrew Bailey, Christopher Bailey and Kaitlyn Bailey, and many other relatives and friends.
