Aydlett J. Eure Sr.
EURE, N.C. - Aydlett James Eure Sr., 74, died Friday afternoon in his home.
A native of Gates County, he was the husband of Mrs. Edith Felton Eure. He was a merchant and a farmer.
He was a deacon of Cool Spring Baptist Church.
Other survivors include two sons, Aydlett James Eure Jr. of Harrisburg and Edsel F. Eure of Eure, a daughter, Mrs. Eris Eure Calimer of Virginia Beach, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Josephine T. Horton of Ahoskie; a sister, Mrs. Monsieur Eure Willey of Woodville; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Cool Spring Baptist Church by the Rev. Beck. Burial will be in a local cemetery with Jack W. Harrell Funeral Home, Gatesville, in charge.
