Pat S. Allison, 69, Ridge Manor, Fla., formerly of Calhoun, died at 9:30 a.m. Monday, August 12, at his residence...He was born July 9, 1916, Calhoun, son of the late Pat Street Allison and Etta Ellis Allison...He was a retired golf professional and member of the Professional Golfers Association...For several years he was a pro for the Babe Zaharias Golf Club in Tampa, Fla. He owned and operated Cedar Rock Country Club in Lenora, N.C., later moving to Reidsville, N.C., where he owned and operated a golf course and the Monroeton Discount Pro Shop of the South, the nation's first discount pro shop. He was a member of the LaFayette United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Jeanelle A. Smith and Mrs. Louise A. Blalock, both of Ridge Manor, Florida...interment was in Fain Cemetery.
