Mr. Trone was born in Hanover, York county, Penn., in 1840, died Nov. 16 1922, at the age of 81 years, 11 months, and 23 days. In the year of 1870 he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Patterson, to which union five boys were born, all of whom survive him. In 1896 he moved with his family to Montrose county, where he engaged in farming, later moving to Noel, Colo., where he has since resided. Surviving Mr. Trone are his wife and five sons, who are Frank D. Trone of Taft, Calif.; Jesse L. Trone of Denver, Colo.; George E. and William V., of Noel, Colo., and Lee A. Trone of Ridgway.
The funeral took place Saturday at one o'clock at the Community church and interment was made in Dallas Park cemetery.
Mrs. Susan B. Hull and family attended the funeral of Mr. Trone of Leonard on Saturday. Family lore says he changed his name from Parr to Trone. Reason being he ran away from an angry father with a shotgun.
