Services for Clarence Ed Bass, 85, of Lubbock will be at 4 p.m. today at Sanders Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Joe Burks and Joe Cunningham officiating.

Burial will be in City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

He died on Monday, April 23, 2001.

He was born on Dec. 21, 1915, in Bell County. He married Dorothy Lucas on Oct. 12, 1940, in Lubbock. He farmed in the Canyon Community for more than 50 years before moving to Lubbock in 1973. He and his wife owned and operated Dorothy Bass Monogramming from 1973 until retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Sunset Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife; a sister, Bonnie of Lubbock; and a brother, L. C. of Lubbock.
