The Oklahoma native lived in Antioch for 30 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Vigil and Carol Rio, both of Antioch; son, Lee Akins of Antioch; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Her husband, Fred Akins , died in 1991; a daughter, Helen Akins , died in 1982; and sons, James Akins and Jimmy Akins , died in 1951 and 1977 respectively.
