Jerome's siblings were Evelyn Lavine, Sally (Sadie) Lavine Heinonen, Hal (Hyman,nicknamed Rinky) Lavine, and a twin brother, Sanford Lavine. Jerome's stepmother was Sophie Marshall Lavine. His stepbrothers were Theodore Marshall and Sidney Marshall from Sophie's first marriage to Benjamin Marshall(ne Moscowitz).
