HAZEL APPENZELLAR
Hazel Franks Appenzellar died Saturday, July 14, at her residence in Huntsville, Ala., at the age of 50. She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of Maggie Stricklin Franks and the late Leslie Franks. She was married to Merle F. Appenzellar who survives. She was a member of Central Assembly of God Church in Huntsville and worked as a housewife. She had resided in Huntsville since 1974. Services were Sunday, July 15, at 5 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Savannah with Bobby Pickens and Lance Faylon officiating. Burial was in Sunny Hill Cemetery. She leaves her husband Merle Appenzellar Sr. of Huntsville; two sons, Merle F. and David L. Appenzellar of Huntsville; her mother, Mrs. Maggie Franks of Savannah; three, sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Ray and Mrs. Louise Franks of Savannah and Mm Margaret Sue Orr of Memphis.
