Mrs. Edgar Hassler
Mrs. Lucy R. Hassler, wife of Edgar G. Hassler, 1022 Allen St. died at Allentown Hospital at 1:25 am Thursday after a three month illness. She had been admitted to the hospital August 2 as a medical patient.
She was a member of Trinity E C Church, and its Sunday School Friendly Bible Class, and Women's Missionary Society.
She was born in Coopersburg, a daughter of the late Alfred F. and Hannah M. (Steininger) Landis. She lived in Allentown for the last 42 years.
Besides her husband, survivors are three brothers Allen and Ernest, Coopersburg, and Robert, Quakertown; four sisters, Misses Hattie, Martha, and Orpha Landis, and Alice, wife of Charles Mohr all of Coopersburg.
She was preceded in death by a brother Myron, and sisters, Stella, Rosa and Flora Landis.

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Mrs. Lucy R. Hassler on Sept. 20. Services will be held Mon. Sept. 24 at 1:30 P. M. from the J. S. Burkholder Funeral Home 1601 Hamilton Street, Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Note: Edgar married June 20, 1940 to Lucy.
