Mrs. Goff was born July 30, 1929 in Marietta, Ohio to the late Garnet Gertrude (Finkle) and Grover Farley, and died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Goff had resided in Lufkin most of her life and was a nurse for Dr. W.D. Thames for 25 years and at Champion Paper Mill for eight years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Lufkin Chapter #382 for more than 34 years, and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Billie and Michael Petty of Wells and Darlene and Sandy Kirkland of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Mary Goff of Alto; grandchildren and their spouses, Shelly and Jarrad Holland, Delaina and Chock Taylor, all of Lufkin, Josh and Selena Bell of Pollok, Samantha Kirkland, Ty Kirkland, both of Lufkin, Tony and Amanda Goff, and Tracey and Shane Gholston, all of Alto; great-grandchildren, Seth and Zackary Kornegay, Chase and Cameron Taylor, Harleigh Kirkland, all of Lufkin, Hayze Gordon Bell of Pollok, Preslie Turney of Lufkin, Morgan and Mary Goff, Loren and Hanna Gholston, all of Alto; sister, Maxine Moore of Marietta, Ohio; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goff was preceded in death by H.G. Goff.
Pallbearers will be Josh Bell, Ty Kirkland, Seth Kornegay, Zack Kornegay, Chase Taylor and Tony Goff.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Taylor, Jacob Mayberry, Clint Warren, Zach Brashear and Ronny Kornegay.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 West Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
