Delbert Crawford, 102, of Stanford died Sunday, April 17, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Stanford. He was born January 20, 1909 in Madison County, KY to the late George Finley Crawford and Susan Mae Maupin Crawford. He was a farmer, a member of Lincoln Lodge #60, a member and a deacon at Calvary Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Lucille Garrison Crawford of Stanford; a son, Byron Garrison Crawford (Jackie) of Shelbyville, KY; a sister, Dorothy Skaggs of Fairborn, Ohio; 4 grandchildren, Eric Crawford (Julie), Andrea Daily (Tracy), Joe Crawford (Cynthia) and Wesley Crawford; several nieces and nephews; he was preceded in death by 4 brothers and two sisters, Marshall, Cecle, Harry, Gertrude, George, Adelaide and Effie, also and infant twin sister, Della.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20, from 5-9 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home, Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at Spurlin Funeral Home with Reverend Johnny Adamson officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Eric Crawford, Joe Crawford, Wesley Crawford, George Lee Crawford, Jim Bailey and Donnie Skaggs. Honorary Bearers will be Shirley Brawner, Gretchen Reynolds, Jean Turner and Marsha White.
Memorials in Leiu of flowers may be given to Gideons Bibles international.
