CORRIE MITCHELL BELL, 80, of Memphis, retired nurse for Kimberly-Clark after more than 30 years, died of respiratory failure Friday at St. Francis Hospital. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Forest Hill Cemetery East. Forest Hill Funeral Home East has charge. She was in the Army Nursing Corp during World War II. She was a former member of Springdale United Methodist Church and a member of Highland Heights United Methodist Church. She leaves three sisters, Inez Gilliam of Millington, Marie B. Carter of New Albany, Miss., and Lavonia Knight of Memphis; a brother, Charles N. Bell of Houston, Texas, and several nieces and nephews. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association. (Published in The Commercial Appeal 3/9/1996)
